NetVoice™ is our Voice over IP (or VoIP) service - which simply means that your phone calls, Fax or EFTPOS transmissions are sent over your Internet connection instead of the normal PSTN network. It's great if you have Naked DSL, wireless broadband or if you travel since you can make and receive calls, send and receive faxes, and complete your EFTPOS transactions anywhere in the world as long as you have access to a broadband connection. Our phone plans includes one real direct dial number, voicemail, and tons of extra features you would normally pay extra for with other carriers.
NEW! NetVoice™ customers can now experience the same benefits as TelstraClear customers with our new BIG BACK YARD tollfree calls - we've extended your free calling area to include every suburb and town in your local calling region. So, for example if your local number prefix starts with 09, you can call anyone within the 09 area for free; this would include Auckland, Great Barrier Island, Helensville, Hibiscus Coast, Pukekohe & Warkworth.
Each NetVoice™ connection requires the use of an IP Phone (such as a Linksys SPA942 etc) or an Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) where you can use your existing telephone handset, Fax machine or EFTPOS terminal. We can provide and configure a Linksys ATA device for $75.00 + GST or a Linksys IP Phone for $249.00 + GST

Yes! The setup cost includes the purchase of an Analogue Telephone Adapter (or ATA), a small device that allows normal phones to work with our service. You can also use a Softphone on your PC – for this you will need to use a headset.
- Can I still be listed in the phone book?
Yes! Please contact the White Pages directly to get your number listed.
- Can my phone number be blocked so others can't see I'm calling?
Yes! Please select this option on the signup form, or contact the helpdesk to have this option enabled.
- Can I have other services such as caller ID and Voicemail?
Yes! Unlike other providers, there is no charge for caller ID, voicemail or call forwarding services.
- What is the sound quality of the call compared to a standard line?
A lot of our customers experience quality “equal to or better than” a standard Telecom landline – in some cases customers may find our service better as they're not hearing ‘clicks' from nearby electric fences etc. Since this technology is in it's infancy we can expect it will be some time before it will be as reliable and as high quality as our landline phones. Remember that the Internet was not built to handle voice, so until the voice to digital signal and the transmission of data packets improves we can expect the public Internet VoIP to be not as good as landlines.
- Is this service always on like a normal phone line?
This service is provided via your broadband connection. If there is a power outage, your phone will not work. If your account has been suspended, you will not be able to make or receive calls. If the broadband service is unavailable for any reason including, but not limited to, scheduled maintenance outages and faults with our providers, you will not be able to make or receive calls.
If you have concerns with consistency of power supply to your premise, we advise you purchase a UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) to extend the operation of your hardware during power outages and minimize down time.
