ADSL Bitstream from ThinAir Communications offers you high speed broadband access via your normal telephone line and is available for both residential and business use. All of our Bitstream plans are FullSpeed* and are fully compatible with new ADSL2+ standards.
NEW! ADSL Enhanced services are also available to provide a standard Naked ADSL connection, plus a dedicated VLAN providing dedicated traffic with specific SLA targets for latency, jitter and packet loss. This VLAN can be used for voice or other real-time traffic types. We offer a dedicated VLAN speed of 134kbps. For these types of connections a special modem/router is required which is available for $199 + GST.

For rural connections a $20 + GST Telecom surchage will apply.
Please note: Interleaving is disabled on all connections to reduce latency for real-time applications, if you find your connection is unstable Interleaving can be turned on at your request. ADSL is not available in all areas. ADSL Modems are available on request for $199 + GST - these modems are a 4 port router/firewall and can be upgraded to a wireless router at no additional charge.

Do I need a Telecom landline to get ADSL Bitstream or Naked DSL?
You do need to be subscribed to a landline service to get our ADSL Bitstream. If you do not wish to subscribe to a landline then our Naked DSL service will work for you.

How fast is the ADSL service?
It will depend on your location, the state of your house wiring and factors such as the distance from your exchange. Theoretical speeds can reach up to 24Mbps on ADSL2+ enabled exchanges and 8Mbps on ADSL1 exchanges.

Will I need to pay a fee to Telecom as well?
No, you will receive one bill from ThinAir Communications for your broadband access.
- Can I share my Internet connection with other computers in my house?
Yes, you will need to purchase a router (or wireless router if you want wireless inside your house)
- What happens if I cancel my connection within my contract period?
You will be liable to pay for the remainder of months left on your contract. For example if you signed up to our Bitstream 10GB plan and cancelled 2 months into your contract you would be liable for 10 months x $59.65.
